Twenty-two-year-old Ella Chapman is ready to spend a carefree summer with her best friend in Santa Monica, CA.
Sweet, innocent, and adorably quirky, Ella quickly finds herself entranced by her best friend's strikingly gorgeous older brother—Preston Siler. Thirty-three years old and recently divorced, Preston is trying to find himself again as he travels down a bitter path, consistently being chased by his own demons.
Preston and Ella are complete opposites, but a defining friendship develops as the summer unfolds, revealing painfully dark secrets and creating an emotional bond between two people at completely different stages in life.
Innocence and guilt come together to unexpectedly heal old wounds and prove that, in order to move forward in life, we must let go of the past.

Heroin(e) is a GREAT summer read by newly published author Samantha Walker. Bold and entertaining, and sometimes heart-wrenching, it covers controversial subjects that will challenge the readers tendency to judge people solely by outward appearances and the persona they project to the outside world. Things aren't always what they seem...you never know what storm may be brewing beneath a calm, confident facade. It's a fantastic read that's very well-written. I look forward to seeing what else this new author comes up with!Product details

Heroine edition by Samantha Walker Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Heroin(e) is a great summer read! It captivates you right from the start. I couldn't put it down until I was finished!
Heroine, by Samantha Walker is a very intriguing story. I was hooked from the first page! Great character development and storyline. The characters deal with real-life situations that many of us can relate to, such as presenting an outward facade of perfection while the darkness of past experiences can linger on the inside and dealing with those past experiences to embrace the future. Definitely a great story to add to your reading list this summer!
Hi,
A friend recommend (W.J.) He like the book and I read the sample and I enjoyed it .
It was well writen
Thank you
Herion(e)is a great novel by Samantha Walker!!! This book captivates with it's character drama and cleaver perspectives. I loved the developments of Ella; the young, bright eyed, main character when she sees the dark side of life. Once you start reading, you won't put it down.
The author writes a dark, captivating story about drugs and love from two entirely different perspectives. The dilemma/development of the main characters in this book strongly attaches the reader's emotions to them. Clearly written, the author's use of descriptive language paints a picture that is easily played out in your head. Definitely recommended read!
A very entertaining read! A short story with a lot impact and insight. I'm looking forward to more from this new author!!
